DROP OFF Information

We have a limited amount on shopping carts available for your use to bring your items into the sale.Please use the far West back Entrance

Step 1 - Come in and Sign your consignor waiver

Step 2 - Bring your items in and wait for next available inspector

*** Helpful hints, it helps if you have your items seperated by size and gender this will speed up you placing your items out on the sales floor after they are inspected. Please do not be offended if we have to turn away an item(s) due to stains, worn or out of season. The lighting is so much better at the sale and things tend to appear in that light.

Step 3- Place your items on the sales floor in the appropraite places.

Step 4- Don't forget your presale passes and I look forward to an awesome sale

Step 5 - Make sure to give your friend passes to your friends!

If you are consigning a Travel System with a Infant Car Seat make sure you have the users manual. You can find them online. This is a must. We only accept infant car seats that are being sold as part of a travel system.

Make sure you have also filled out your carseat waiver for any travel system you are bringing. Click here for the waiver.

Safety is number one with JBF make sure you are checking your items for any recalls. Check now so you can order any needed replacement parts. We also have a recall specialist at the sale that can help you answer any questions about an item.

NEW FEDERAL CRIB STANDARDS. Click here for more info

Just Between Friends can only accept the consignment of cribs manufactured on or after June 28, 2011. Cribs manufactured from July 23, 2010 to June 28, 2011 may be consigned if the consignor provides a certificate of compliance from the crib manufacturer or retailer. Cribs manufactured prior to July 23, 2010 will not be accepted under any circumstance. Cribs that are unacceptable, for any reason, cannot be sold as toddler beds. All cribs consigned with Just Between Friends must have a signed crib waiver from the consignor.

Don't forget to spread the word about our canned food drive that is going on during the Visalia Sale to benefit the

Visalia Rescue Mission.

Bring two cans of food on Sept. 11th and you can enter the sale at 10am instead of 11am. For every two cans that you bring in during the week you are entered into a drawing for JBF bucks!

With the Visalia sale just 3 weeks away and the Fresno Sale 6 weeks away it is time to start tagging!!

Our tagging system at www.myjbftags.com is open 365 days a year 24/7 so you can tag anytime day or night.

Tagging Tips

Gather your supplies hangers, safety pins, tagging gun ( if wanted you can find for cheap on eBay), cardstock, Ziploc bags small and large, zipties or curling ribbon (for keeping shoes together), saran wrap (works great for puzzles and collections of books), packing tape to put those tags on toys and large items and also to seal those bags so little fingers don't try to take the stuff out! Also maybe a snack to munch on while you tag

Price a 1/3 of what you paid for the item or what it retails for - You can price higher on items that are new, baby equipment, and toys. I always think about it this way when I am pricing my items. What would I pay for this item at a consignment sale? Still not sure what to price at check what a new one sells for on online.
Check for stains, rips, tears. The sale has a high standard of quality items and inspection process. Make sure you are bringing your best. If you wouldn't buy it don't bring it
Batteries are a must in toys.. Make sure everything has all of its pieces. Do you still have the manual if so include it with your item. Here is a website that may have the manual you are looking for Click Here
Presentation is everything take the time to button all those buttons, snap all the snaps, clip threads. Go the extra mile and pull out the iron for those cute dresses and dress shirts. If you don't have time for that use Downey Wrinkle Releaser it does wonders.
Keep your items smelling fresh while being stored throw in a dryer sheet
Participate in our discount days and let your items go for reduced price especially If you are going to donate your unsold items don't put a star on that item let it go on our discount days..
If you are using a tagging gun please watch where you place the barb. Place it in the store tag if there is no tag if you look under the shirt collar there is a seam, place it in the seam. Don't put the barb where you would normally safety pin as it is likely to leave a hole and then won't sell.
The extra time you put in getting your items ready means extra money in your pocket!!!!

You can set to default your items to reduce or not reduce for our discount days
You can set to default to donate or not to donate as well.
Be descriptive with your tags at the least put the Brand, Color and what it is so that if the tag gets separated we can attempt to match it back up.
Print on light colored card stock - the is because using regular paper the tags will easily tear off
Use the print alternate feature this will print tags 6 per page
Make sure your tags are pointed to the correct sale either Visalia or Fresno. To check log into your tagging account on the left hand side "Click" on Profile and you can change your sale location
The Toolkit is a handy place to search for tags, make changes and or delete an item

Can you believe the Visalia Just Between Friends Sale is just about one month away and the Fresno sale is 6 weeks away!! It is time to clean up and cash in!!!

Tagging is super easy at www.myjbftags.com. If you have never created tags before you will first need to make sure you have registered for a consignor number. Once you have your consignor number then you will need to create an account at www.myjbftags.com.

We have some super helpful information under the consign tab on our website. So make sure to check that out for all the details.

A few helpful quick tips SAVE these items for the

SPRING SALE Shorts, tanks, sun dresses, bathing suits.

Dig in those closets for clothes, shoes, toys, baby gear, movies, did I mention toys? Look outside for those ride on toys and large outdoor play things. Did you check under the bed for those items that you got for Christmas or a birthday that are NEW in THE BOX that you now need to get rid?

Tips

Have items grouped by size order this will speed up placing the items on the racks after inspection.
Make sure all your ziploc bags are sealed shut with the tag taped to the outside
Brining shoes? Use those small zip ties to fasten together if you can fasten then together you may place in a ziploc bag. Please makse sure they are LIKE NEW!!
Don't forget those large outside toys!!
TOYS,TOYS and TOYS don't forget them please make sure they have all there pieces and have batteries if needed.

The school year is quickly coming to an end! For some your kids are free this week for others we have a few more days!

I used the last few days while the kids were still in school to start tackling and tagging my kids fall clothes. I started going through their closets and putting away winter clothes, but instead of just packing them up I tagged them and then put them in a bin.

Downey Wrinkle re leaser will work great to get any wrinkles out.

We will have shaopping carts and a few flat bed carts to help in getting your items inside.

Step 1 Check in at the table- bring one of your barcoded items up to the table to scan in.

Sign agreement form and if you have an infant carseat( the ones that go with a stroller) please make sure you fill out a car seat waiver form. Don't forget your presale passes :)

Step 2 Wait for the next available inspector to go through your items. If you have any items that were returned to you, you may fix the item and bring it back during the mid week drop off on Tuesday from 12:00-7:00 pm

Step 3 Place your items out onto the sales floor. All racks are labeled as well as tables for non clothing items.

Remember that is you want to earn 70% instead of 65% you must volunteer 3 hours or have completed a barter. Your help makes the sale run smoothly and we can't do it without you. Your help is always greatly appreciated. Plus if you volunteer you get to shop earlier

General Drop off is Friday, September 5th anytime between 10:00am-7:00pm.

The first Fresno Sale is over and the word is out. Tags have been uploaded and are available for viewing at www.myjbftags.com. It was a pleasure to get to know some of you and thank you to all the new volunteers and the gals that came up and helped from Visalia, we would not have been able to get everything sorted without you!

Keep talking about JBF to your friends remember that if you get a friend to sign up and bring at least 15 items to sell you will earn a higher percentage for every 3 and 5 people that sign up and refer you, and who doesn't like to earn more money?

As you put away your children's winter clothes think about tagging them before you store them, then you will be ready for the fall sale. The fall sale will be the end of September/early October check the website for updates and don't forget to add my email to your inbox so you can receive my emails. kcolburn@jbfsale.com

Down to the final day! The half price sale is tomorrow Sunday from 11am-3pm! There are lots of great bargains to be had.

Pick up your items will be from 6-7pm, you will not be allowed to pick up your items prior to this time. We could always use help with sorting the more people we have sort the quicker it goes and if we get done early you can take your items home at that point if you help sort!

Thanks to the volunteers you are always a blessing and greatly appreciated.

Fresno Day 2! Tags from Friday have been uploaded. The difference between two sales! It seems like yesterday the Fresno sale started and now we are heading into the home stretch! I had to chuckle today, I had a consignor come up from Visalia to shop with her grandma and she was on the phone with her friend back in Visalia talking about how different the two sales were! I laughed saying yes that Visalia JBF Sale is a larger sale as it has been around for 5 years I don't think she new the first Visalia Sale I believe had only 15 consignors! This is the very first Fresno JBF Sale and we have well over 15 consignors.

There are many great items on the racks, I have seen many new with tags items out there. So make sure to tell a friend or two about the sale and stop in and shop the last two days. Before it is over and then you will have to wait until the Fall sale to get all the great deals!

Remember if you have time to volunteer we would love to have you help.

Fresno is off and running! Tags from the presale have been uploaded. Make sure to save all questions you have regarding tags until the end of the sale and after you receive your check, thanks.

The sale is open to the public Friday and Saturday 10:00am -8:00pm and on Sunday the 50% sale 11:00- 3:00pm.

I want to make sure to thank all the girls that have volunteered so far your help is greatly appreciated. There is still opportunities to volunteer so if you have a spare hour or two pop in and help out. We always have alot of fun!.

I hope you found drop off to be smooth. Most of you now have your first JBF drop off under your belt, you consider your self a pro at JBF drop off now! There were many great items that were dropped off for the sale. I left the building without taking any pictures so I will remember to take some pictures tomorrow for all you Visalia people that want to see what you are missing out on!

We could still use help in the volunteer department so even if you only have an hour to spare we will gladly put you to good use!

First Fresno JBF Sale is one day Away

Fresno JBF Sale Drop off is tomorrow

Wednesday March 26th from 3:00-8:00pm

Manchester Center located directly off the 41 and go West on Shields.

We are in the old Longs Store- You will use the outside Longs Store Entrance. Please bring your items in. When you bring your items in, we will have racks for you to hang your items on for inspection. You will fill out your waiver form, get your presale passes, a total of 3 passes. After your items have been inspected we ask that you help place them in the appropriate areas. It should not take more than an hour to complete the drop off process.

We still could use volunteers, the more hours that you volunteer the earlier you will get to shop the presale.

After a few paper cuts and Costco being out of stamps on Sunday, checks are in the mail!

I once again thank each and everyone one of you that volunteered. The winners of the $25 gift certificates are Shannon Brookshire, Carol McKee, Caren VanderFeer and Jeralyn Cain, I will be getting these out to you soon. We were able to supply Visalia YMCA,Grace Homes, Tulare County Foster Children and several other great charities with some great items for summer. A special thanks to Jenny for getting it all taken care of.

September 6th -13th notice it is earlier in the month!

Fresno JBF Sale is only a little over a week away. The Visalia Just Between Friends Sale Spring/Summer Sale has come to a close, what a week. I hope that you found pick up to be smooth, thank you for checking out. So you say you have more? Well, the Fresno JBF SALE is just around the corner. With drop off March 26th if you would like to consign at Fresno go to the Fresno online sign up and get a number and then send me an email letting me know you signed up and I will go in and issue you the same number. Or you can email me and I will add you to the Fresno sale. If your number is over 200 you should be able to keep your same number.

Again thank you to all the volunteers that helped many hours, without you the sale would not have ran so smoothly.

An end to an awesome sale

All I can say is WOW! Thanks to a terrific group of volunteers we were able to get all the unsold items sorted in no time, I actually think we set a record! Just think if next time we had double the volunteers we had tonight, I could be in bed by now. lol

Pick up is from 12:00pm -1:00pm after 1:05 the donations truck will be loaded.

Please use the south entrance (where you came in for presale). Please check the lost tag item table and rack. Also double check all your items to make sure that they belong to you before you take them out the door.

For those that have over 25 items left over that would like transportation of them to Fresno please speak to me at pick up.

The sale was awesome, I will be uploading today's tags by Tuesday and double checking tags this week, please check the blog for updates.

I can not thank the many wonderful volunteers that the sale had. You guys went above and beyond and without you the sale would not have run so smoothly. If you didn't volunteer I hope you will next time. As we really do have a great time and you get a chance to meet a great group of people. I know I have!

You will not want to miss all the great items that will be 50% off. There are still some wonderful clothes, toys, strollers, books and much more! Come on in and get in on the great savings. Most of Friday's tags have been uploaded. This is a reminder that the tags from the 50% off sale will not be scanned and uploaded Saturday night. We will be busy sorting unsold items.

Pick up of your unsold items is Sunday from 12pm-1pm anything not picked up after 1pm will be donated - NO EXCEPTIONS! Don't forget to turn your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed on Saturday night.

If you have over 25 items and would like for me to transport to the Fresno JBF Sale please come to pick up and you will sign a form stating that I will be taking them. This will be for the first Fresno sale only and space will be limited.

We had another great day at the sale. All of the barcoded tags from the Presale have been uploaded and are available for viewing. First Day Open to the Public

First day open to the public! I have a good friend who always compares presale day and first day open to the public to the running of the brides, for all the great wedding dresses. That is how I felt this morning when I went to open the gate, the large group of people eager to get in the gate. Once the gate opened we had people dashing for items! So if you have more large items please bring them, we have people looking for jogging strollers,double strollers, cribs and much more. You may drop off your items Monday and Tuesday only. No new items will be taken after Tuesday. Thanks again to the volunteers, we can't thank you enough! I am still working on entering tags

Whew, What a day! Again I can't thank our volunteers enough including the dads and grandfathers that have been helping you are all a true asset to JBF! I am going to allow you to drop additional items on Monday and Tuesday. So finish cleaning out the toy boxes and bring it in clean, tagged and ready to go. I will be working on entering tags, you will not see a full account of what has been sold on Presale or first day open to the public until Tuesday. It takes time to scan in all the tags, so I appreciate your patience. See you at the sale, there are still lots of goodies to tell a friend or two about. Remember NEW for this year Friday will be 25% off day! and Saturday is our regular 50% off sale day!
